Each Podcast episode is divided into the following sections:
Every week we review up to three new cinema releases and give you in-depth (but spoiler-free) analyses for each movie to advise whether they’re really worth your money!
IMDB TOP 250 PICK
Our chance to go back and revisit the classics and discuss whether they’re REALLY worthy of a place on this list? Each week we pick at random one of the IMDB Top 250 movies of all time, re-watch it and review it for the podcast.
For this section, we countdown a different Top 3 every week, related to either a new or old release which we’ll be discussing. We each list our picks from 3 to 1, arguing why each one deserves its place on their list…
This is your chance to play along at home! Each week, Rhianna and Mike alternate in quizzing the other on 10 questions on a subject of their choice, be it the movies of Quentin Tarrantino, Oscar Winners or animal characters in movies.
Mike works in TV producing and helps make shows such as The Film Programme (or Film 2016) on BBC1. He’s also done freelance producing for BAFTA and tries to blog and review movies when inspiration comes!
Mike is a self confessed horror movie fanatic and considers himself a walking, talking encyclopaedia of the genre.
Favourite movies include Back To The Future, The Shining, The Night Of The Hunter, Pans Lanyrinth and anything directed by David Lynch.
Favourite TV shows include Twin Peaks, South Park, Battlstar Galactica, Breaking Bad and anything made by Joss Whedon…
Rhianna is a Film Critic and presenter and has worked on Radio 1 and 1Xtra as well as making regular appearances on ITV’s Weekend show, Radio 4 (Front Row), Channel 5 news, Sky News and various BAFTA events and programmes.
Rhianna is obsessed with Jane Austen adaptations, Bruce Willis films and British comedies. She therefore knows most of the words to Emma, Shaun of the Dead and The Fifth Element.
Rhianna is also a Disney nerd and does awful renditions of ‘A Whole New World’ upon request. Sometimes even without the request.
Rhianna could not be more opposite to Mike in her movies tastes.
